Oh gosh, yet another

Plain Green Loans Review

The astronomical interest rates Plain Green Loans charges for small amounts of cash will likely add to your financial strain, rather than reduce it.
Though not a traditional payday lender, Plain Green Loans operates like one. It charges its customers interest rates upwards of 300%. First-time borrowers can borrow up to $1,000, and repeat customers can borrow up to $3,000. You don’t get to choose the term length and the longest available term is two years. There’s no hidden or prepayment fees, but that doesn’t mean you can expect a reasonable interest rate.
Plain Green Loans markets itself to those with poor credit who need money quickly. There’s no minimum credit score for approval and you can get your money as soon as the next day. However, the same is true of personal loans, and these often come with much lower interest rates and longer payment terms. The best personal loan companies, like OneMain, don’t have a minimum credit score either. This is a much better option than Plain Green Loans, so if you’re looking for quick cash, start with a personal loan.

The Claim

Plain Green Loans promises “simple and convenient loans” that can get you the money you need by the next day. There’s no hidden fees, and the company reports payments to the credit bureaus, so the loan may even help your credit score over time.

Is it True?

No. The credit bureau reporting and lack of hidden fees may lull you into thinking you’re working with a company that cares more about helping its customers than it does about turning a profit, but the fine print reveals the truth. “This is an expensive form of credit,” the Important Disclosures reads, “Alternative forms of credit, such as a credit card cash advance, personal loan, home equity line of credit, existing savings or borrowing from a friend or relative, may be less expensive and more suitable for your financial needs.”
Plain Green Loans offers loans up to $3,000 with APRs ranging from 150% to 375%. While the company assures you that’s a bargain compared to traditional payday loans, it’s still robbing you blind compared to virtually any other type of credit. The average credit card charges about 15% APR, and some of the best personal loans will offer rates under 10% APR to those with good credit. Even adding in any hidden fees, you’ll probably still come out better than if you went with Plain Green Loans.
Plain Green Loans does have its advantages to those with poor credit. There’s no minimum credit score required, and since it reports your payments to the credit bureaus, if you can keep up, you could see your score rise over time. But there are still better options out there for you. OneMain, for example, doesn’t have a minimum credit score either, and its maximum APR is 35.99% — less than 10% of what Plain Green Loans will charge you. This is definitely a smarter way to go for most people.

Our Deep Dive

  • Astronomical interest rates: Despite what the company would have you believe, Plain Green Loans’ interest rates are about average for a payday lender, and far more expensive than most other forms of credit. If you’re not comfortable paying 300% interest on the money you borrow, look around for other options.
  • $3,000 maximum loan amount: First-time customers can only borrow up to $1,000, and repeat customers are limited to $3,000. If you’re looking to borrow a larger amount of money, you’ll have to explore some personal loan companies instead.
  • Few requirements for approval: Plain Green Loans only requires its applicants to be 18 or older; have a job, email address, and checking account; and live in a state where it does business. There’s no minimum credit score required.
  • Get money by the next day: Plain Green Loans can approve your loan and deposit your funds as soon as the next business day.
  • Short loan terms: Plain Green Loans offers terms ranging from six to 24 months, which is considerably shorter than what most personal loan providers offer. And you don’t get any say in how long your repayment term is. This could be problematic, particularly since you’re responsible for paying back a lot of interest on top of the initial amount.
  • No hidden fees: Plain Green Loans doesn’t charge you any hidden fees or prepayment penalties, so you don’t have to worry about running into unexpected charges down the line.
  • Get approved in seconds: Once you fill out a simple application on the company’s website, you’ll be immediately notified of whether or not your loan has been approved. This approval is conditional, subject to the verification of the information you submitted.
  • Choose a payment schedule: Plain Green Loans lets you choose between biweekly and monthly payments, so you can select the one that best fits your budget.
  • Payments reported to credit bureaus: If you’re looking to repair your credit, prompt repayment of your Plain Green Loan could help. The company reports your payments to the credit bureaus and if you demonstrate responsibility, it could improve your credit score over time.

Cost Rundown

Plain Green Loans offers payday loans, which are always more trouble than they’re worth. The high interest rates often turn a short-term money shortage into a longer-term financial crisis, as borrowers struggle to pay back what they owe in the short loan terms offered by the payday loan company.
Say you took out a $2,000 loan from Plain Green Loans. According to the company’s loan calculator, you’d be charged 200% APR. Over the course of the 22-month loan period, that loan is going to cost $7,588.81. That’s an extra $5,588.81 in interest on a $2,000 loan.

Cheaper (or Free!) Alternatives

There are plenty of ways to get the cash you need at an affordable rate. Borrowing from friends and family is always a good choice if you have the option. Most of the time, they won’t charge you interest at all. Credit cards are another solid choice, though a lot of credit card debt will have a detrimental impact on your credit score.
A personal loan is your best bet. Typically, these offer lower interest rates, and you can borrow up to $30,000 if you need to. They also offer longer loan terms and, unlike Plain Green Loans, you can choose how long you need to pay it back; usually up to five years.

The Competition

OneMain: OneMain offers personal loans from $1,500 to $30,000. Loan terms will vary. Interest rates vary from 16.05% APR for those with very good credit, to 35.99% APR for borrowers with poor credit. There is no minimum credit score to apply, so it’s a great place to apply if you’ve been denied loans from other companies.
LendingClub: Lending Club offers personal loans up to $40,000 with interest rates ranging between 6.16% – 35.89%. These interests rates are fixed, so you don’t have to worry about them going up over time. There are no hidden fees or prepayment fees if you decide to pay off your loan early. Lending Club requires a minimum of a 660 credit score, though, so it may not be an option for some.
Prosper: Prosper is another personal loan lender that offers fixed interest rates and no hidden fees. You can choose from a three- or five-year term and amounts ranging from $2,000 to $35,000. APRs range from 5.99% to 36%, depending on your creditworthiness. You must have a minimum credit score of 640 in order to be approved.

What Others Are Saying

  • The Washington Times ran a story about a lawsuit filed by a Vermont resident who borrowed money from Plain Green Loans. The customer alleged that the company “blocked her access to her own bank account, automatically withdrew funds without her consent, did not examine her ability to repay the loan, and charged excessive interest rates, which are against Vermont law.” Plain Green Loans is wholly owned by the Chippewa Cree tribe in Montana, who fought against the lawsuit on the grounds of tribal immunity. This claim was later rejected by the judge.
  • WSOC in Charlotte reported on a man who had purchased a loan through Money Mutual, a company that matches borrowers with payday lenders. The man received a loan from Plain Green Loans who allegedly charged him 625% in interest. The company insisted it was “not loan sharking,” but the customer cautioned others against borrowing from Plain Green Loans.
  • The Missoulian discussed the Chippewa Cree’s ownership of Plain Green Loans and how many payday lenders are affiliating themselves with tribes in order to take advantage of tribal immunity. Many lawmakers are fighting to restrict these practices, claiming they’re unfair to consumers. A spokesperson for the Consumer Federation of America said that, “It’s a real threat to the ability of state regulators to enforce the loan market to police caps and other consumer protection measures.”

The Bottom Line

Plain Green Loans claims to be there in your hour of need, but its outrageous interest rates could land you in even more financial trouble. Look into personal loan providers instead, or even credit cards before getting a loan through a payday loan lender like Plain Green. Any one of these payday loan alternatives should be able to offer you far more money at a much lower rate.

I dug through my phone book and called the doctor

Yes, I still use paper phone books and I have a paid psychologist that I speak to by phone. (Find a psychologist in Daytona? LMAO I took Psych 301 at Buffalo State as a freshman and pointed out mistakes in my professor's book)

As I had said, I wanted to find out if I was snooty or a racist.

After a 30 minute word exchange, "He guided me to an answer". (If you're aware of how psychology works, "Guide to" is par for the course)
I'm not a racist, it seems I don't like any groups of people but am there for individuals. As far as being snooty, it's a bit grey. I vehemently believe all people have talents yet few get up off their ass to develop these talents and make them marketable. Apparently, I'm not looking down on people but at the same time, I'm looking down at the way they think if that makes sense?

I was politely chastised for referring to people as stupid

Ok, people are not stupid but they do some stupid assed shit!

So I received this email from "Alignable" with all these great promises of business networking and horse shit.

What do you do when you're picked to receive all the horse shit you can swallow? Go to customer reviews! (Unless you're like me and have absolutely no reviews to be found, I guess it depends on what you say you're selling, what you actually sell and who you sell to)

I have just upgraded my alignable account to premium and something happened and I can't login into my account anymore. I tried reseting it but the reset link never comes to my e-mail, I tried using their email sign in token and also didn't work. The only form of contact they have is through email and they take forever to answer. I think that login problems are really priority and should be solved right away, every day I can't log into my account it is a day that I can't grow my business network and if I can't grow my business network why am I paying them?

I have submitted over 15 times and still waiting for my account to be deactived. This service offers no way to link accounts in business so in order for me to be a employee of a business with a account I cannot keep my account that I have contacts on and have been using. The more you use their service the more things start to not ALIGN.

I had initially contacted the Help desk at Alignable.com to inform them that myself, and my Real Estate Agents were having an issue with their attempts to create an account with Alignable. When we were prompted to create an account, our accounts were automatically Auto-populated with a competitor's photo and information. Each of us had to go in to delete the photo and information upon signing up. I informed Alignable that there must have been a fraudulent account created that was linking our business and agents to our competitors. I was then able to screen shot the account that was fraudulent and show that the account was in existence. I proceeded to contact our competitor about deleting this fraudulent account. He then contacted Alignable's Help desk, and they responded with the following emai: Hi *******, I've deleted the profiles that use ***** ******** as their profile picture. It looks like they linked their accounts to this ******** page: ********************************...

This company automatically contacted us (via ***** ****) due to a referral from one of its members. Since we were not interested, we ignored the request to join the network and received numerous obnoxious emails reminding us to join their network. I wrote a reply email, pointing out that in Canada it is against the law to add people to an automatic mailing list and that I would like to be removed from theirs. I got a reply from a different individual (****** Flynn) stating that they could not prevent users from referring emails. I pointed out that I was not objecting to the referral, but rather the obnoxious automatic mailers being sent out. I am still receiving automated messages from Alignable nearly every day.

****Once again, people aren't stupid, they just do stupid assed shit!

I'm in a very strange position

It took years yet I've created many vortexes to bring money to my life. I donate to St. Jude's, send some to my adopted friend family in Nicaragua, "waste" money in the stocks and buy great food. I've attempted to assist past girlfriends with their dilemmas but that always created the "enabler" scenario.

It is one of the greatest paradoxes that I can not help individuals because they "seem" hell-bent on Not helping themselves.

Maybe one day, damn, another paradox.

I have quite a few blogs

I have experienced what happens when CV's and information is passed along from person to person in our new tech based world.  I can't even tell you how many CV's hit the trash by the time I read the first few lines.
I have invented various formats / all patents pending to deliver your information to a recruiter or hiring manager in a way that will keep his or her attention. Even with my formats, the contents and substance of your resume/CV cannot be adjusted, you're proficient at the level that you put into your study and work.

As you think to create your own formats, getting a patent using Google Blogger will be the battle of your life, chuckles. However, it is not impossible to sidestep me.
For those that wish to have a "clickable" linked CV to apply by any media device to any HR, contact me here.

*I have friends back home that dedicated their lives to cutting corners and getting things for free and that's pretty much why they are still back home looking for EBT cards and Section 8 housing.

This is not a conspiracy theory, I'm asking questions.

Since there is no more tangible money on the planet except in the pockets of the Bildergergs as we exchange notes of debt, what is left for the top 300 to do?
Through various modes useless for discussion in this particular post, they have all the wealth. What would you do if you owned all the money that was being "loaned out to" countries?
Wouldn't you want to reduce the population to reduce pollution and create a better world for your family? Wouldn't the general population be a nuisance except for those that supplied your needs such as food, energy and fresh water? Wouldn't you consider the diseases, mental diseases and barbaric thoughts and actions of this society's individuals a threat to your family's well being?

The question becomes err apparent, "What would you do with us"?

There are things that you may never grasp

There's no such thing as an absolute "up or down, left or right or east and west". These terms are no more than communication tools based in proximity.

The big item ticket is that there is no "correct or incorrect". There are actions that take place every day that will turn your stomach, make you want to scream and shout yet these occurrences are not right or wrong.
In order for societies to function humans have made up their own synthetic rules which work at times, fail at times and many that need "tune-ups" as our society diversifies in thought.

I realize that some will argue that all their friends, their church, their state etc. are firm that there is "right and wrong".

Here's a quick way to test the intelligence of anyone/any group you associate with >

Is this glass half full or half empty?

Take your time and listen to the answers and you may find that "all" answers have a percentage of the truth/right and wrong.

A greater percentage of the truth would be that the glass is always full with a percentage of liquid and a percentage of oxygen "here on earth in some scenarios". Take the glass into space and it would be full of void yet this too is not an absolute.
Yes, my assertion is not absolute, not right or wrong becaue man has yet to figure out all the possible combinations in our universe which could be universes.

It may be in your best interest not to think outside the box but opt to think with no box at all.

Damn! I may be stuck up and a racist *Whoooly Update

With the future of my puppy, "Nietzsche's" health still uncertain, me being practical me, I began looking for a replacement.
I'm thinking an African Boerboel, Neopolitan Mastiff, Dogo Argentino or a Presa Cane Corso.
Hahaha, this isn't funny. So I'm out on my nightly walk with Nietzsche and happened across a pier mate and we were talking about the situation when he suggested a pit bull...why? Without any tone in my voice, I quietly said, "I don't do trailer trash or ghetto fabulous mutts".
I wasn't apologetic then and I'm not apologetic now, I meant what I had said.
*I'll get some professional advice in the morning.

*Note to self > It's cool to talk about religions, Trump, bombing innocent civilians "but" never ever post about faggots, fat chicks or those ugly assed pit bulls or you will have even more angry emails to have to delete.

All I can really remember is

..that I wanted some Liquid D&B, a little reggae and some jazz on a plate.

How you know you're hanging with a "feminine" male

Dude asked me do you know what they say about you? Nope and don't give a f$#k, what others think about me is none of my business!

I was tossing clothes into the trash and

Where in the hell did this come from?

What am I studying

“Lao-Tzu said ‘the five colors make a man blind, the five tones make a man deaf,’ because if you can only see five colors, you’re blind, and if you can only hear five tones in music, you’re deaf.

You see, if you force sound into five tones, you force color into five colors, you’re blind and deaf. The world of color is infinite, as is the world of sound. And it is only by stopping fixing conceptions on the world of color and the world of sound that you really begin to hear it and see it.”

*Now place this philosophy into Every aspect of your existence. The "very few" I associate with have already grasped this.
